From Hadassah to Intermarriage: Another stimulating weekend @ CBS in Wilmington

Dear Haverim:

*Tomorrow night, February 15, 6:30 p.m. (Hadassah Happy Hour 5:30 p.m.-note earlier start time), we will be treated to a Hadassah-led Shabbat service. Our darshanit will be Regional President (and past CBS President) Rhoda Dombchick. Hadassah International, founded by Henrietta Szold, turned 100 on March 3rd. As the largest women’s and the largest Zionist organization, Hadassah has been instrumental in raising the level of health care for both Jews and Arabs in the Middle East, and has perhaps done more than any other organization in modeling peace for both peoples in that region through their approach to providing medical support to everyone in need.

*Saturday, February 16, 9:30 a.m. Shabbat services. My sermon topic will be:

Parshat Teruma: Giving the Gift vs. BEING the Gift

*Sunday, February 17, 7 p.m., Kraft Lecture Series featuring Rabbi Charles Simon and a forward-looking and synagogue-building approach to intermarriage.

Hug a Hadassah lady! BE a gift! Help make our shul a welcoming home for Intermarried families! Attend Shabbat services and our Kraft Lecture series at Beth Shalom!!

B’yedidut,

Rabbi Michael
