Rabbi Michael's WeekEND NOTES: Passover Special

Dear Chaverim,

As we go back into Yom Tov Passover followed immediately by Shabbat, this is my last chance to address you via cyberspace for the next couple of days.  So let me tell you what’s going on.

·        Friday morning, April 13. Normally considered an unlucky day, but NOT at CBS.  In addition to a specially timed “LATE” morning services starting at 9 a.m. (instead of the normal weekday 7:30 am start), we will have a PARENT AND ME PASSOVER SPECIAL starting at 10:30 a.m.  So if your kids are off tomorrow, you should bring them and prepare for a fun time!!

·         Friday evening, April 13. Be sure to light your Yizkor candles BEFORE your Shabbat/Yom Tov candles.  Then have a nice dinner and join us for a LATE (do you sense a theme) evening services starting at 8 p.m.  We are featuring highly-sought-after Academy for Life-Long Living Superstar, Marv Cytron, presenting a book review, Jerusalem: A Biography by Montifiore (the grandson of the founder of Yemin Moshe and the chap who built the famous Jerusalem windmill – which never worked).

·        Saturday morning, April 14, 9:30 a.m. services. I will talk about the Counting of the Omer, and secrets of the Kabbalah.  See you at the local Pizza Parlor after sundown, Saturday night for a chametz feast!

·        Remember: NEXT WEDNESDAY, 7:30 am, we are trying our Community Minyan experiment, beginning at AKSE. Come be supportive.

Be relevant, stay informed, attend Shabbat and weekday services at CBS! – Chag Sameach!!  Rabbi Michael
