Rabbi Michael's WeekEND Notes: God and the News of the Week

Dear Chaverim,

* Tonight, Friday, March 23, services are at 6:30 pm (happy hour starts at 6 pm) I will be trying to link the shootings at the Jewish day school in Toulouse, the shootings of the civilians in Aghanistan, the shooting of Trayvon Martin in Florida, plus life-threatening illnesses faced by members of our congregation. The title of this talk is: GOD: ARE YOU TESTING US?

The subject sounds heavy but I promise you upbeat lyrics by the singer, Noa, to give us perspective.

*Tomorrow, Saturday, March 24, 9:30 a.m., Rebecca Lustig, our Bat Mitzvah, will be our guest darshanit, covering the topic: GETTING CLOSE TO GOD WITH A LITTLE KORBANOT.

Come celebrate Shabbat Congregation Beth Shalom, as we try to get to close to God, and stay timely and relevant. Truly, it’s ALL happening at Congregation Beth Shalom!

Shabbat shalom,

Rabbi Michael
